Lots of Hoosiers have asthma. I remember when I was in junior high and high school in Muncie there was always about 4 or 5 kids in gym class each year who couldn't participate in some of the gym activities because they had asthma so bad.
Back in the 1960's there was lots of Hoosiers who were told by their doctor they need to move to Arizona if they want to escape the allergies and the asthma, and many of them did just that.
