Global warming = reduction of lake ice cover.

"Global warming" = BS term not used by scientists in years.

"Climate change" is a pretty meaningless term. It is perpetual.

Not necessarily. Lake ice isn't permanent long term ice. It forms and melts every year. How much forms in any one year is more dependent on local weather, not longer duration climatic trends. Ice features that persist from year to year such as permafrost, alpine (as opposed to tidewater glaciers...they are not very stable even in the best of times) glacial icefields, and polar icecaps (think persistent sea ice in the arctic and Antarctic) are better records of long term global change. Is permafrost melting? You BET it is! The long stable limits of permafrost are retreating north all around the circumpolar earth, resulting in soil profile collapse, erosion, and draining of thousands of tundra wetlands (those wetlands held water because of the permafrost lenses underneath them. When permafrost melts the basins can't hold water any longer so the lake goes dry). There's also an increase in methane gas releases. It has been sequestered in ice for thousands of years. When permafrost melts, methane is released back into the atmosphere. That's being detected all over the subarctic. Are glacial icefields retreating? You BET they are! Glaciers all over the world are eroding and disappearing faster than new snow of the year can replentish them. Yes, yes, yes, there have been many warmer interglacial trends before. No competent climate scientist is debating that. It is the rate and magnitude of change that's the concern.

Yes we are in a warming cycle right now and have had these for thousands and millions of years. We have also had cycles of cold for thousands and millions of years so none of what is going on is unprecedented. Most of the scientists alive today have never experienced or remembered more than one to one and a half cycles. Their models have been consistently wrong and anyone who believes they can see 50 years ahead are not in their right mind. These same climate scientists cannot correctly predict our weather more than 10 days ahead. See February 2021 it was predicted 3 months before that we would have way warmer than normal temperatures and guess what 100%wrong. Our world has existed with obscene heat and cold for millions of years and we are being told we have 9 years left bs. For nearly 25 years we have been told we have 10 or 12 or 15 years before we burn up we are not even close. Glaciers have melted in the past and recovered and Inwill guarantee you that they were not measuring methane from melting permafrost a 100 or 150 years ago when this has happened. Ships were sailing through the Arctic see in the 1800s but cannot today because the ice there is more wide spread today than even 6 years ago. The media alarmists always show us the huge icebergs that are falling off Antarctica but don’t tell you that the ice is expanding on the other end. There are many climate scientists who do competent research that can debunk that this has never happened like this before but because they do not fit the narrative they cannot tell their story. I follow many of these and they have the true charts from years ago that others keep manipulating up and down to fit what they want you to hear. Their record heat depends on what dates they want to use. They can begin in 1970 or 1980 or whatever year to make their point without past data. Sorry but this earth will be around for a long long time and very habitable

Yes, it will; but perhaps not for humans.
You offered nothing but opinions and theories, meaningless without any data or facts.
And while I do agree that meteorologists and climatologists have made little progress in their forecasting, I'd love to see data confirming the eastern Antarctic ice pack is increasing. I highly doubt this, considering we are in an inter-glacial period.
