In Chicago, the whole month of August, only about 60 people died from it. Chicago has a population of 2.7 million. That's not a pandemic. That's why they're no longer counting deaths, only cases. We know that we get false positives so they really need to stop doing that since it's inaccurate count.

And that's the most important thing isn't it? After all, the only thing in life that really matters is having fun. Amiright?

Grow some brain cells. Seriously.
Imagine a virus so deadly that they're counting "cases" and are encouraging healthy people to get tested so that they have a high case count.
The future generations (hopefully they'll be much smarter than those like you) will judge this ridiculous hysteria. There are 7 coronaviruses that have been discovered since the 60s (it's nothing new). I'm sure that every year, people have died from it but it was counted mostly as pneumonia. Show me where anywhere in the world people were just dropping dead on the streets like the propaganda videos from Wuhan that went viral and it was the beginning of panic in the world. I'll wait.

In the meantime, this is who died WITH Covid in the last 24 hours in Illinois:

The eight additional COVID-19 deaths include:

-Coles County: 1 male 70s
-Cook County: 1 male 50s, 1 male 60s, 1 male 70s

-DuPage County: 1 male 70s
-Jefferson County: 1 male 90s
-LaSalle County: 1 female 80s
-Perry County: 1 female 90s

Imagine a virus so deadly that now most people who die from it are older than the average death rate in the country.

The world belongs to the brave and those with functional brain cells- not those who are afraid of a virus that has 99.96% survival rate. In the meantime, because of people like you, we have crashed our economy, people have lost jobs, people are committing suicide, people are dying from overdosing on meds, children are abused at home, spousal abuse has also increased, people have died from stroke and heart attacks at home because they were afraid to go to a hospital, people died of cancer because they weren't treated, people died from other health issues because hospitals suspended testing for other diseases. You are a disappointment to the human race.

Knock it off with the personal attacks. Another thread down the toilet because people refuse to stay on topic and play nice. There's no excuse for personal attacks and sophomoric name calling. You may dispute others' ideas and info till the cows come home, but you may NOT attack the intellect, the intent, nor the character of another member.

There are threads dedicated to COVID-19 in Current Events and in Politics. Post there all you like, but remember that the Terms of Service are enforced across the board. This Illinois thread is now closed.
