I hear that you are getting a state campground? How do you think it will effect the town?

It's already attracted a lot of RV'ers to say the least. This area is a real popular spot for fishing, visiting the Hagerman Fossil Beds and just down the road the Thousand Springs area which is tremendous. Has the Blue Springs you can kayak to. I've seen a lot of fishermen in boats, kayak folks and even ski jet people in that Thousand Springs area on the Snake River as they have launch spots there in that park. Hagerman fortunately remains a quiet place aside all that, which I'm very thankful for. It's why I moved here. An ideal retirement spot. We're not close enough to Twin Falls to be a tremendous attraction for a home to be built so we'll leave the absurd growth to Twin Falls. The human mentality seems to be "convenience" is THE word. I figured if I can get somewhere within an hour or less that's good enough for me. Most want more stores, action, school choices and such. Not here thank you. LOL. We don't have, nor are likely to ever have a stoplight nor stop sign on "Main Street" which is also Hwy 30. Sure, during the summer we get bikers buzzing through and a plethora of RV folks on their way to Thousand Springs. The new Thousand Springs Visitor Center which is where the new State Campground is is pretty cool. Has some of the Hagerman Fossil Bed stuff there and explanations of the area. I'm sure it's added some traffic when the summer's here no doubt.
