You may like Hagerman if you are into geology or fossils. Keep in mind that folks there don't make very much money and jobs may be very hard to find.

No jobs, as in zero.
Extremely small town - and all that comes with it (or lack thereof).
Mostly an older community (55+).
Only one grocery store - expensive.
A few nice diners, though.
Not exactly quaint, but it hasn't been pillaged by any chains or franchises.
Extremely isolated - almost 40 minutes to TF. An hour and a half to Boise.

However...

Hagerman has the best climate in Southern Idaho. Stays warmer in the winter, a little warmer in the summer but it's somewhat moderated (it doesn't feel as hot).
Unbeatable access to the Snake River, nearby boating, fishing, rafting, hunting, and dirt biking.
Sits in a nice, somewhat lush valley with desert canyons on the east and north side, and the dry, rolling bluffs of Bell Rapids on the west. Farmland and desert to the south.
A nice retirement community.

I like it there.

The few times I have been there it was very windy.
Beautiful small town with good schools.
Clean as a whistle everywhere I looked.
Twin Falls close enuff for a weekly grocery trip.

I liked it

In regards to the above comments:

Great fishing.
Very much a retirement town.
Absolutely not a commuter town (unless you're insane).
Not as windy as most of Southern Idaho.
The school (singular) is only decent.
Somewhat clean.
TF is close enough for a weekly grocery trip.
