......How were your travels through the Bitterroot Valley?

Hope you found your property in ID didn't receive any damage from the storm.

Hey Griz, thanks for asking! We had a great drive up through the Bitterroot Valley--we finally got to see those incredible mountain peaks! What a beautiful place. And you were right, no fires except for one hotspot up above Hamilton. But we were running late, so we never did get a chance to stop in Hamilton . Oh well, next time!

Our property in Clark Fork is fine, no storm damage, thank goodness. It's wonderful to be back...sanity reigns... The Pantry still sells sandwiches...there's a new laundromat in town...the air is clean...

Welcome home CFF. Just got back from spending the afternoon on the big lake. It was a beautiful day for playing in the water.

Hi CFF - I'm jealous you get to have a great sandwich at The Pantry and I'm seriously missing their huckleberry shakes! We've been trying to figure out if we can get back to NID before winter for another visit. Hubby wants to go fishing!

Hello CFF....

It simply feels "right" when you are here, my friend. You belong in NID, without a doubt. Welcome home.

I have followed the report of your recent loss. Be strong and do all you can to ease your grief. I'm betting a new four-legged pal will find you soon...

Maybe you need to visit the shelter here and take an Idahoan back to CA with you....with a good northern Idaho name to keep a piece of this place with you all the time. Tamarack, Aspen, how about a dog named Wampus Cat?

Okay CFF, was it you or me that brought the heat? I finally made the trip and am currently in Bonners Ferry. I will speculate that since the temperature in SW OK dropped 25 degrees when I left and increased 20 degrees here the very day I arrive, that it is my fault. I will make my apologies now.
