lol, I have! My hubby (then boyfriend) took me to a indian casino in San Diego on my 21st bday and they did not serve alcohol! He managed to pick the only one in the area that didn't! He still kicks himself when thinking about it! haha

hmmm...I thought that we had been to another that did serve alcohol. I also thought all his buddies gave him a hard time for managing to find the only dry casino on my 21st. I could be mistaken tho, its been a few years.

I still ask: how can a person gamble and throw all his money away without being liquored up? Maybe the dry casinos want the customers to win.

Default Casinos

Still whats the purpose when you don't have money to begin with, why gamble it away. What are you getting out of it? The kids always need something I know mine do. One time on t.v. they showed a guy that had just lost $5,000.00 and was drunk off his butt and was going to call his wife to bring the credit card. Just wondering if she brought it!!!
There just has to be better ways to spend your money. Some are on welfare so, that means we pay for them to gamble.

Well, I for one enjoy going to play the slots every now and again. My bills are paid and it's my money I'm using. I don't know spend anymore in one shot than what it would take for a couple to go on a date night to a movie and dinner! Probably less

Makes more sense to me than golf, either playing or watching it.... boring!

I agree. There are many who became addicted to gambling, lost everything, including their families. If they are going to have casinos, then there should also be some responsibility on the part of those casino businesses to assist 'gambling addicts' get therapy and treatment. just my two cents.

Not all people are like that tho! The couple of times that we went out to a casino, we spent maybe $20 on the slots. It would have cost us more to go to the movies! This was 5-6 years ago and it was before kids. The last time we were in Reno for a couple days (03), we didn't even go gamble.

I know when we watch poker on TV, there are always commercials about gambling. Call if you or someone you know may have a problem.....

by the time a person is totally addicted with a BIG gambling problem, it's normally too late. Everything has been gambled away and there's nothing left to gamble with. The wife then tells him "Hey, you're a real loser and I am taking the kids and divorcing you."

True. So they should do away with video games, any alcohol, smoking, sports you name it. A person with an additive personality can become addicted to anything. There are people that simply can't part with anything; photos, newspapers, magazines, books etc. etc., they are called hoarders, they too have an addictive personality.
