The redefinitions are not as drastic as the last time. only slight changes. What may change is the counties that now meet the requirements that they did not meet the last time and the counties that did meet the requirements the last time but have now lost it. Core counties play a major role in that.

You see how far people Drive into work nowadays.

I guess we'll have to wait until 2013.

I will say this. DFW will most likely continue to stay as one metro. You can't break it up now. They function as one and they are actually growing in as well as out.

From my understanding, that large airport in the middle has contributed to this.

HUH? Why are people calling me out? I thought the large airport contributed to the infill between Fort Worth and Dallas.

yeah the connection between Dallas and Tarrant county is waaaay too high. When I said we don't know which counties will get added or removed, I didn't mean the core ones. I said Dallas may add Tyler, longview Etc, and Houston may add Beaumont or whatever.

what I am saying it is that I think DFW will end up like Boston, keeping the core with most of the development but eventually lose all the extra little areas. Just my opinion, and it will take a redefinition to do it.

No major definition changes have occurred so if anything the metros around the US are simply going to add a county or two. That is what may change rankings.

DFW and Houston may be knocked down one spot if the Bay is unified. Houston and DFW are not going to add any significant counties so I don't think the actual population is going to change much. The 2010 stats are going to so old by the time the metro statistics are released in 2013. Heck they are already antiquated now.

Southernboy speak plainly and put more meat into the posts. Your one liners often are too short to convey the thought processes behind your words, and sometimes it comes out like you are taunting. Just a lil advice hun, although the two who replied to your posts were a bit harsh
