What should Houston improve to make it a better place to live, grow, etc?

That question implies that there is a central planner who should be making changes. The city needs to reduce its overhead, its bureaucracy and its land use restrictions and just let the private sector continue doing what it does.

I'd be happy with more green space and pedestrian friendly areas, but overall I think Houston's doing a pretty good job.

where?

Houston has the more acres of Parks than any other large city in the US. Apart from the huge ones there are multiple small ones in just about every hood in the city.

Are you talking about a large park downtown on the edge of a lake kinda greenspace???

Houston needs to improve their drivers. I can't believe how much car insurance is out here (compared to where I used to live). The second week I moved here; there was a guy in front of me in a brand new car..had a dealer license plate..he was on his cell phone and a car smashed right into this guy...i was in total shock.
