I live in a studio apartment that’s an L shape. So while the living room and dining room are the same room, since it’s an L shape, I can’t see the living room TV when sitting in the dining room. And sometimes, I think it would be nice to have a small TV in the dining room to watch while I eat. But not sure if it’s unnecessary to have two TVs in both the dining room and living room when it’s only a studio apartment.
Do you feel it’s unnecessary to put a small TV in my dining room even tho I already have a large TV in my living room, since I live in a studio apartment?
It doesn't matter what other people feel is necessary. If you want it, you can have it!
We have a big open space where our living room, kitchen, dining and office are, and hubby can't quite see the TV from his desk because it's around a corner, so we have a secondary monitor TV on a HDMI splitter that shows whatever the other TV is showing.
Aesthetically speaking, it would be ugly. To me it would remind of being in a sports bar. With that being said, it's your place and you have to live in it. If it makes sense to you, then do it!
Watching the news during breakfast has replaced reading the newspaper whilst you eat your breakfast.
Nothing wrong with it. Query: do you need the cable box to connect to TV or do you only stream?
You're right. Small TVs are so inexpensive, I'd go for it.
Alternatively, you can get a small snack table to haul out in the living room when you want to eat and watch TV. These were called TV tray tables in TV's early years. Cheaper than the TV and no need to hook up the cable box.
Do you really use the dining room table to dine on while (presumably) watching TV alone? I'd just eat in the living room with the TV unless I had guests over for dinner. I haven't sat down and eaten a meal (except in restaurants with friends) at a dining table since losing my family. I admire you if you do that, though, as it's very civilized! But living alone in a studio, I'd dispense with the "dining room" aspect altogether; maybe just use bar stools at a counter or island. That said, it's your place, and you can do whatever makes you happy!

Mostly to stream.
But yeah, they are cheap. Especially since I get points at work and can get it for free.
