Nope- not even close!
Vice rag- just makes mention. There is no “expert” quote. They (the writer) simply are pointing out pieces s/he likes.
Du- just another quick mention- meshed in with 10 other elements! Definitely no “expert opinions” there!
Anybody can “mention” anything- doesn’t make it true! And let’s face it, the media isn’t exactly on the “up&up” these days- regardless of what format you choose!
The thing is, after 20 years of battleship grey on all surfaces and painted signs with exhortations like "Eat!" "Laundry!" "Live, Laugh, Excrete, Die!" "Does Not Parse!", it's time to make all that stuff out of fashion and sell a new set of container loads of cheap crap from China; but they haven't figured out quite yet what the "next thing" will be. So we're seeing a lot of flailing about, trying to find the thing that can be latched onto to sell sell sell sell.
yeah, not happening here.
I did the mirror thing in the 90's, and I am no way re-starting the windex-ing every week. I'm trying to do away with more housework as I get older.
I don't even give a rats azzz what the trends, or what they tell us the trends are, don't care.
I think when you get the trend of the day, it gets dated faster than if you get something you just like and it stands the test of time.
of course we don't wanna look at the same thing for centuries, but one cannot constantly keep changing because this is what they tell us the trend is.
The mirror thing gets annoying quickly. In the 80's I knew someone from work who had the entry to their business completely mirorred. It was incredibly disorienting. Like walking into an infinity box where everything you see is a reflection of a reflection in another reflection, ect. ect....

Reminds me of a penthouse apt I saw in W Palm Beach- the powder room was entirely done- walls, ceiling, vanity!
At least the toilet wasn't (BLK)... that would have been really weird! But, it was weird enough just "watching" yourself- there was no where you could look and NOT see yourself! LOL!!!

I don't like it. It's a very cold look. Nothing wrong with mirrors on the walls, but mirrored furniture creates a very chaotic effect since it is reflecting things at mid and floor level.
