i used to go to her...well not exactly her, i went to her facility. I'm not pregnant or never have been, i'd go for chk ups but i've never seen Dr. Coltrin and i'd always set appts with her and when i'd get there i'd have to see a nurse practioner or at the time of scheduling they'd ask if it was ok that i get a nurse instead. I'm not sure if you'll b able to see her b/c she seems to b too busy all the time, but the nurses are ok. One in particular, Patti. I always see her, she's good. But good luck!

I am recently pregnant but not high risk and that is who I see. For my last two months of appointments I am scheduled to see her. My last appointment was with her but an emergency came up and I was seen by another lady. All of the ladies there are really helpful and very nice. When I went for my first appointment the ladies tell you that you wont see Dr. Coltrin until a couple months before you are due. If anything unusual shows up on your test, they call as soon as possible to let you know. And if further testing somewhere else is needed they schedule the appointment for you. This happened to me. I took a test cant remember the name but it was to check for spinia bifidia and down syndrome. My test came back abnormal so they scheduled me an appointment right away with a place to go have a sonogram done. Turns out it was nothing but they made me do a 24 hr pee pee test for caution to see if they could figure out what made my test abnormal. They take real good care of you there. The ladies are real down to earth and very talkative. They always ask if you have any questions or concerns before you leave and address them. The ladies that make your appointments are real nice also. You can ask them anything and if they don't know they are willing to ask someone else. At your first appointment with them, they give you a packet with all kinds of information which really helped me out because this is my first child and my husband is in the military and we live 1000 miles away from family. The one thing that the ladies stress is when they give you a weight gain limit you better stay within in because Dr. Coltrin will get on your case if you gain too much over that before she sees you. But I think they were kidding or atleast I hope even though I have done good on that so far. I hope that this helps. If not you can ask any more questions you need and I will see what I can find out.

Default dr. coltrin

Both of my children were delivered at Sentera Leigh by Dr. Coltrins office. Dr. Coltrin didn't actually deliver my babies but i did see her occasionally throughout my pregnancy. Everyone in her office is great, especially Patti Dudley. They make sure you see everyone that could possibily delivery you throughout the pregnancy so you are comfortable come time to deliver. The office staff is also super friendly and professional which is very important because they are the ones that make sure your calls get returned and that you get in for visits etc.

BEWARE! I went to this practice when I was pregnant w/my son 2006-2007 & had three friends that left this practice mid-way thru their pregnancies for one reason or another. This didn't bother me as most of my care was handled by her nurse practitioners (who were lovely, & in my opinion keep this practice afloat) but it struck me as a little odd. Finally, I was diagnosed w/problems & still hadn't seen the dr. Furthermore, I had an awful time getting their rude staff nurse to refer me to a specialist. When they finally got around to sending me to a specialist which was Dr. Margarita DeVenciana, it was a breath of fresh air after what I encountered w/Coltrin's practice. I was 30 wks along by the time I finally met Dr. Coltrin, & DID NOT feel comfortable w/her. I didn't find her warm or friendly, she barely acknowledged me when she walked into the exam room for my 1st appt w/her. I found her approach alarmist-like & added a lot of uneeded stress to my pregnancy. Thanks to my friends & their encouragement I switched OB's & was better for it! I encourage you to read some of the reviews of her practice on Rate MY Doctor & DoctorTree...you might think twice about choosing this OB. Best Wishes!
