BOOM:
Greenville County Square could soon have developer

The developer is RocaPoint Partners. The architect is Foster & Partners. We should hear more sometime during the first quarter of 2018. Already announced is a 250,000 square foot county office building and 1,000 space parking garage.

To compare, Camperdown is $200 million and ONE was $100 million to build.

Please tell me that there's going to be some verticality with this project. At least one or two buildings over 20 stories would be awesome.

This would be an amazing location for height on the bluff that overlooks downtown.

I hope so too. I don’t know what size we are looking at though at this time unfortunately.

This is exciting news. Breaking down the 250,000-square-foot multi-level Greenville County office building, how many levels are projected?

At 250,000 sq feet I’d project 4-6 stories.

Does Greenville really need another low rise of four to six levels? If the future Greenville County office building is at least ten or twelve levels, progress will be made.

This is only one building in a development of 1.5 billion. It should be a great deal taller. I know personally that they want some height there.

Just before the recession there was a project in the works for this site dubbed, "Project Skyline ", that was said (later) to have a proposal for a 30 story building. Who knows if that was true but that would be awesome on that hill overlooking DT.
On the other hand, there was a design study project for the site (a few years ago) which suggested 6 stories should be the limit, so who knows.
