By now, I'm pretty sure most of everyone here has seen my posts in regards to leaving my current state of residence and establishing a foot-hold elsewhere.
I'm kind of split between going for either a house-purchase or apartment lease, but house-purchase seems more preferable for myself.
As usual though, I've got some past credit problems and those need to be worked out before I could finally "obtain those keys" and get on the road to owning my own place.
As I've already mentioned in various spots around here, I operate a semi-tractor/trailer mainly in the southwestern states.
Since my deliveries and pickups occur in the states I currently desire to live in, I could essentially keep my job and just place myself in one of those areas without much of a financial problem.

As far as gaining a new state-residency without an actual physical address, is it possible to just acquire a private box at one of those UPS-store locations as an alternative?
Essentially just an "official filler" until I've gotten everything else straightened out.

To what end?

If it is to qualify for in-state tuition rates...
or pretty much anything else that involves a government agency or credit...
then the answer will be a resounding no.

Well, that doesn't make things sound any better.

Nonetheless, the sooner I get out of Compactifornia, the better.
Too many restrictions around here limiting what I feel like doing during my free time.
College might be cheap here, but too many people scurrying about as well.

Why not just rent a cheap studio in the state you want to live in until you have everything worked out?
