I have a bidet and actually find that I'm using quite a bit of toilet paper to dry myself off. Bidets can also cause splatter, of both water and other things

With a stand-alone bidet, installed with a permit by a plumber and an electrician, the cost is about $1,700. At the current cost (at Costco) that would pay for about 2,152 rolls of TP. I suppose with a large family that would be cost effective, but for 1-2 people would take as much as 22 years to pay back. If you get one of the "toilet seat bidets" for $150-500 and install it yourself you would be saving money much sooner, but do they work as well?

Tap water, mechanical bidets valve and timing, are on the self at HD,<$50.
Toto Washlet Bidet @ Costco $360.
I've bought so many washlets (non Toto) that I can buy direct from the manufacturer-distributor.

OK, I'm sure your calculations are correct. However...
What you have cleverly attempted is to compare the MOST expensive on one end, and the LEAST expensive on the other end. If you start doing that, there is no end in sight.
The folks who might sport for a $1700 stand-alone bidet are unlikely to be the same people scrimping pennies by buying the Scratch-a-lot brand generic TP floss at Costco.
Just for S--ts & Grins, why don't you reverse that. Find the MOST expensive TP and LEAST expensive add-on bidet seat.
... Ehh, don't bother. I got curious. Avoiding the TP that has gold in it, this could qualify:
Bidet attachments? Oh look! Amazon has some for around $20. Using your same logic but reversing it, You will save money using a bidet attachment even before going through ONE roll of TP!

I got mine off Amazon for $40. You just add it to an existing toilet and works great.
What everyone is missing is that a bidet cleans your butt much more effectively than using TP and just smearing it into your backside.
Culturally we should evolve to getting more bidet like toilets. Everything about it makes sense - how clean you are afterwards, not needing to hoard TP during the next pandemic and saving a few trees in the process.
In Thailand it is more like a kitchen sink sprayer...on a splitter with the toilet fill valve. Toilet paper almost seems barbaric now. They are much more likely to put a roll on the dinner table instead of napkins.
