I don't need to chill out. And, no, you did not hurt my sensitivity. You have only hurt your own intelligence by screaming at me that way.

There are many NY Italians in parts of Hollywood (Gino's, Dori's) and near the intercoastal waterway on oakland park blvd....I LOVE THOSE OLD SCHOOL MARKETS...with the prosciutto/mozarella sandwiches. There's this great place on dixie and prospect called lucarella's..they have everything!

VVolin, I believe people are using the wrong words by saying they are loud. We are passionate about our feelings versus being loud. I believe it is all semantics. My grandfather who was from Castellemare de Golfo, was very quiet. My other grandfather who was Palermo was very loud. education can play a part, but it is more personality than anything.

That area by Gino actually hosts the largest concentration of Italian rednecks I have ever seen. I have met so many first generation Floridians from that area, and yes, Italian rednecks!

Why does the OP want to know?
Broward definitely has an Italian-American presence, but to what extent that is satisfactory to the OP is another question.
It's all relative.
