I been here for a while and people are rude
as a mfkr
I hate it because people think they have
the right to treat and speak to people any
kind of way that is why people are killing and
caring on the way they do.
I'm not worried about me it's
my family and friends they
got to watch out for.

They do or even treat them the way
they do us it's not going to be
be safe for anyone. I'm just saying

Statistically, Fort Lauderdale is very liberal and has a mayor that is a liberal Democrat. I’m not sure what else you wish to know.

Broward County (Fort Lauderdale) has and always was the most Liberal county in Florida

Broward County votes 69% Democrat
Palm Beach County votes 60% Democrat
Miami-Dade County votes 51% Democrat (Cuban voters support GOP)
Monroe County (Florida keys) votes 50-50 dead heat

The only other mildly leaning blue counties are Gadsden - small mostly African American suburb of Tallahassee , Leon FSU, Alachua UF college , St Lucie, Volusia cus Daytona, Pinelles. Osceola and Orange cus of Orlando

Rest of Florida is conservative

Not sure what your thread title has to do with your post..........

Ft Lauderdale is full of transplants from other places so you are likely seeing more of that influence than that of locals. I flew back from Texas last week next to a woman that actually lives in the neighborhood I grew up in as a kid, we lived 4 streets apart in a community that is probably 40 streets total. She lived in Broward county her whole life and was great to sit with for the 3 hour flight.

I like Fort Lauderdale and am usually there at least once a month and never have an issue but there are people from all walks of life so you need to be alert to your surroundings/things you say.

square mile

Des Moines MSA, population around 700K, spread over 3400 square miles, density of 258ppl per

If you define "metropolis" appropriately, there are many that aren't characterized by rudeness!

1) a city regarded as a center of a specified activity
2) a large important city one

The area need not be appropriately required to have a specific population or physical area.

Having said that, I never found Charlotte, Savannah, Raleigh, Little Rock or Tallahassee to have a bunch of rude people.

Thank god for those counties or else we’d literally be Mississippi but with nicer beaches.

Hi there,

How about Hillsborough where Tampa is?
Sarasota?

I am ok with a mix of each, just not entirely 100% conservative, if I can avoid it
We are looking for mostly urban settings but it seems that other than St Petersburg, Tampa and Sarasota, all other west coast cities are predominantly conservative

On the east, I found St Petersburg was the perfect mix of beach, city comfort, quite diverse, nice locals
I liked a bit of Hollywood and Hallandale but way smaller cities

Looking to see Del Rey, West Palm this summer, among others
