The best place to check "local politics" (at least as defined by the 2020 Presidential election) is this map, made by the NY Times, which goes to the precinct level in Red/Blue. You can zoom in to FL to see the relative "bent" of a given area.

I'd say it'll seem either more conservative or more liberal than where you're coming from, depending on where you're coming from. As someone who came from the Boston area and then moved to FL, it seemed a bit more conservative/religious to me, but not necessarily overwhelmingly so. The LGBT+ community, especially the G part, seemed more visible to me than in Boston. But so did conservatives and evangelicals.

If you're coming from somewhere like Alabama or Mississippi or another part of the Bible Belt, or even a more conservative part of Florida, then I'm sure it'll seem much more liberal to you, especially with such a visible LGBT+ population and more people who vote Democrat.

Since the OP oddly enough seemed to focus on people being "rude" in a thread that's ostensibly about politics, I'd say that FL is more polite than the Northeastern cities like Boston, New York, Philadelphia, etc. in my experience and similar to Midwestern cities I've visited such as Chicago. Maybe it seems more "rude" than other Southern cities due to the high amount of transplants from cities/areas such as New York.
