Uhh, no. On block? Are you serious?
Do you know how many people live in Charlotte, and how many people live in Ft Lauderdale?

The only cities I would live in Broward County are Parkland, Coconut Creek, Cooper City, Weston.
Whats good; the weather, beaches and numerous activity options.
so move out!

Miami is a city,, has money has ghettos and all that come with the city !it is metropolitan multi ethnic and multicultural and all of it is celebrated, not like other towns that all have to wear kaki pants and blue button down shirts. there is bling it changes, there is art, music, languages and sports. Food from every country, people come together from all walks of lives ages and back grounds. I LOVE S-FL!! One day i will go home South Beach

We have an office in Charlotte and the downtown is just about the size of one NYC block

If I lived in another large city in the Southeast, such as Charlotte, Raleigh or even Jacksonville (which I dont put in the same class as the other 2 but oh well)... How would my life improve living in Miami? (Is it safer? Have better schools? Friendlier people? Less traffic/congestion? Better Pay/jobs? I don't see any advantages Miami has personally) or what does Miami have to offer over the other cities listed that would make life better, unless you are a BIG fan of the ocean?
Generally speaking, South Florida offers something way more cosmopolitan, international, and tropical in feel.

That doesnt put food on the table. Again, what are the advantages? I see none.

Well, it's the same as anywhere.

People pay more money to live in the more desireable place. But if your only desire is to live somewhere cheaper, than go there.

But many people do not desire tropical climate over 4 seasons or even sub-tropical climate.
