I was just about ready to sign on the dotted line for PGT impact windows until I saw this website: Moderator cut: Per The Terms of Service: "Recommendations are allowed for posters that have at least 10 posts. One cannot recommend himself/herself." No soliciting.. Saved me a bundle, they will never break like impact windows AND no mess inside my house. What a difference in my A/C cost!

Should 4 impact windows in a 5 th floor condo cost $6000? Seems like a lot to replace old aluminum awning windows with vinyl impact- someone tell me please!

The higher you go the higher the costs. Also, how big are the windows? Check with your condo association as well as the management company who will give you the best info on this.

I used East Coast for the impact windows in my 8th floor condo. $12,000, which included a large custom patio door. No complaints.

For those that put in the impact windows and doors, by what percentage (roughly) did your monthly electric bill go down by?

Impacts are the only way to go, no matter who you get them through. Best investment ever, period.

With that being said, I only have one patio door........I got rid of the old junk slider and put in french impact doors. I have 8 windows. Total cost was 9K. The company I used, Stormwise shutters were horrible and mismeasured everything. Read my seperate post about them on another thread I made. After I had them installed, I contact another company which I heard nothing but good things about and their quote was actually 1k less. Message me and I will relay the companies name to you.
I need a good company... Which one did up you use?
