I'll bite, I've been to many a small town in various southern states and have not seen or heard of this one. Is it considered soul food or ? If I were curious where might I possibly find them?

The US is a melting pot of food… We have many cultures, and we have food from all over the world… Yes, we get demonized for fast foods and unhealthy. They are, but that doesn’t mean the majority of Americans eat fast food every day I haven’t been to McDonald’s for quite some time… Most people I know cooked your own foods… That way they know exactly what it is the less apt to over eat… Or eat appetizers and or desserts along with the main entrée.

I live in Maine… We are known for lobsters and steamers and scallops and fiddleheads… We also produce a lot of potatoes and blueberries and apples… And we have much wild game in Maine… So our food choices consist of many of these items… Do we occasionally go for fast food or Chinese buffet? Yeah maybe… But that’s not the majority of the food we eat

I had a summer job with Southern Bell in Atlanta while in college. My crew regularly stopped by a deli/diner in downtown for their fresh squeezed OJ and coffee. One time, a co-worker bought a pig's ear sandwich. I didn't believe him, until he showed me. It was just two pieces of white bread with the ear between them. He did give me a bite. Not a whole lot of taste, but the texture is just like you think it would be.

Hop over H&W American Diet thread for stats on HOW much fast food is eaten.
