And so it begins............normalizing Americans living in their cars.

50 million dollar golden parachute to Boeing CEO = normal
Children shot to death in schools = normal
Hospitals charging $80,000 for a night in the hospital = normal
Your HOI payments double annually = normal
Spending 75 billion dollars on Ukraine but Americans have to live in their cars b/c they can't afford COL = normal
Banning books = normal
99% of the products we use are bought from Communist China but we can't let them run Tik Tok = normal

Let's see what else we can normalize.........."but what about the third world!"

Keep living in misery and telling yourself you are a victim. It will only keep you down. Instead, be grateful for what you have and the opportunities you have if you try hard in this country that isn't remotely possible in most of the world.

1) Focus on yourself not others. There will always be someone who makes more money.
2) What percent of students are killed in schools from shootings?
3) In most countries, if you can't pay cash upfront, you are left to die on the sidewalk.
4) No they don't, you are clearly lying or don't live in Florida.
5) Most people in the world would kill for a car.
6) Probably the least censored country in the world.
7) Take a class on economics.

You exude the definition of privilege.

Oh yes, I have the grand privilege of being a native Floridian overpaying for insurance and many other things in Florida, and seeing how the state has deteriorated in the past decades. A privilege indeed.

PS: If you don't see anything wrong with the Boeing CEO getting a $50 million golden parachute after ruining the company, no sense in continuing this convo.

Again...in the 5 years I've owned my home, it's value went from $550k to $1M, so I'm up $450,000

My homeowners insurance went up $500/yr x 5 years = $2,500

$450,000 > $2,500

$450,000/5yrs = $90,000/yr

I have not spent $90,000/yr for any of the last 5 years, so Florida is paying me to live in the Free State of Florida.

Not only is my homeowners insurance free, so is EVERYTHING else! I'm making money just living here.

It would be 5k a year for flood on mine and 4k for HOI. I got the house for 85k in 2004 and it went down under 30k 2012 and not sure what i could get it for now. Maybe 150k? Right on the gulf so the worst for flood Ins. I go bare and have saved enough to buy another house in the last 20 years.

There are almost 200 recognized countries in the world. Be grateful for the country you were born into. Most countries do not provide you service even in an emergency without payment first. The US will try to save your life first before talking about finances in an emergency. You can stand in front of the White House and say the president is a racist murderer without fear, something that can’t be said for MOST countries. And once again… bringing it back to Florida… insurance rates are not doubling every year.

Insurance rates for me are doubling every year since 2021; lucky you if yours are not.

So have Dera Eads':

https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/r...nsurance-rates

But yeah, I know, this is all "fake news" mmhmm.............a conspiracy from the far left media..........another hit job on Florida. None of these people truly exist, they are all liars, made up by liberal whackjobs, and nobody's insurance premiums are doubling in Florida........mmmhmmm.

I repeat, insurance rates are not doubling every year for the average Floridian. If that were the case, people with $2k premiums in 2020 would be looking at $64,000 premiums next year and $128,000 premiums in 2026.

You clearly do NOT live in Florida or have never owned a home in Florida.

Thank you for making that crystal clear lol.

The only person who knows nothing about Florida cost of living is you, clearly, "lol"

My HOI premium in 2021: 1200
My premium in 2022: 2400
My premium in 2023: 4800
My premium in 2024: 9600 (although thats my renewal rate and I'm currently trying to shop and get a lower premium)
