Thanks for the economics lesson that nobody asked for.

I can assure you that profiting off other people's misery is not economics, it's immoral, it's price gouging, and karma comes for everyone. Eventually.

To recap:
-we are not being given the information on if they had other quotes, the coverage etc. She may have all kinds of special coverages for art, jewelry etc. we just don't know.
-It's a government regulated product.
-Vast majority of other states not having issues with the same companies.

That's what I was thinking. A $2 million condo is going to have some ornate furnishings.

Normally, your condo's monthly association fee covers everything that is structural on the outside, meaning the building itself. The condo owner is only on the hook for what's inside, which means sheet rock, carpet (if any) and windows and front door. So that wouldn't cost very much to insure. Everything else comes under the heading of personal possessions like furniture, clothes etc.

It's impossible to say what a condo's owner would need to insure because each condo association might have its own way of handling this.

There is no way an association is going to cover contents. Some may rent it and have cheaper stuff in it....others may have 1 mil in jewelry, 1 mil in art and furniture etc.

Frankly, I think it's pretty obvious that Suze intentionally left out key details (she's not dumb) because if she itemized (net worth is 75mil) what all is covered she'd get LIT UP on social media for having art, jewelry etc. that by itself...is in the 1-2%. I think she's playing the victim.
