My favorite taqueria in Orlando is hands down "Tortas El Rey" very good and authentic and cheap! Especially the cabeza tacos.

They do not make their own tortillas. You cannot have a great taco with a soggy tortilla from a bag that traveled 2000 miles from a warehouse in California.

Interestingly, here in Lakeland there are a whole bunch of little hole-in-the-wall taquerias and Mexican restaurants, and many if not most make their own tortillas.

Nothing like a freshly pressed tortilla!

Most Mexican taquerias I go to in the Orlando area make their own tortillas in house. I’m surprised a place as busy as the one mentioned above doesn’t…? Is this confirmed?

Best ones I’ve had in the Orlando area are in Sorrento and Apopka.

Best overall I’ve had in Florida were along 27 in the Avon Park/Sebring area.
