It's windy here too. No rain, it'd be sunny except there's a haze in the air they say is due to smoke from brushfires in Canada, brought down here with those winds. Are you seeing that haze, Corrie?

I'm hoping we don't see much more rain till we get the small leak hurricane Idalia uncovered in our brand new roof fixed. It seems to be at the junction of where the side of the entryway wall meets the main roof- maybe just not sealed well enough. The leak seems to be limited to heavy winds and rain blowing at us from the east, and doesn't leak otherwise even during heavy rains from other directions. The roofing guy was here and verified the leak- he hit it with water under pressure from a hose, and drove a nail through the underside of the roof through the shingle to show where he saw the water intrusion. This was two weeks ago and no one has been back to fix the roof. They tell us they will try and get someone here this week. I hope so, don't want our brandnew ceiling ruined.

Super heavy smoke here. Never seen it this bad. At least it keeps the temp down a little bit. 10 days left for a cane to bubble up southwest of Cuba. I want my action. Don't need a roof where i live.

I've seen haze today, I'm in south Miami-Dade county.... I was wondering why it was hazy.

And no rain for me today, yay!

Look at your post #666 above. See Miami-Dade isn't capitalized in that post but it is when I typed it.
