I realized after I sent my reply the other day that I forgot to ask if you or anyone knows anything about Clearwater. I read somewhere the other day that it's considered one of the healthiest cities (versus county) in America so I thought I'd check it out. Whether that's true or not remains to be seen. If you or anyone thinks it's like St. Pete as to being run down, crime, etc., I won't waste my time driving over there. I used to go there for work many years ago, but I don't remember it, and I only knew it then from a business standpoint. Thanks to anyone that can offer feedback.

I am a Florida native, and just don't like Clearwater. If you are OK with the whole downtown taken up by a religious cult (Scientology) then you might like it. I have other reasons why I don't like Clearwater but I will leave it at that.....

I will just add you might be placing a little too much emphasis on "healthiest city"

Wow...your response might have scared me away from thinking about Clearwater.

You're probably right that I'm placing a little too much emphasis on the healthiest city factor. I guess I'm paranoid after moving to Venice. Apparently I lived in Seminole County too long and just took for granted that every county and city/town was like where I lived. It's amazing to me at the stark difference between the two areas.
