I guess my dream is to see Florida became a place where people build their fortunes instead of a place where people move or buy their second home after they've made their fortune somewhere else.
Both are happening, but the retiree population will be growing a bit faster for a while. Cost to move holds many people back. We are looking to help 2 younger working relatives do so, but it will take time. Typical problem everywhere.

Hi! Read your post on moving to Florida. I am a Realtor in Palm Coast Florida. If you have not heard of it, it is on the east coast situated equally between Daytona and St. Augustine. Very good schools, lots to do, lots of shopping nearby and only minutes to the beaches (free parking at the beaches...not too many places have this anymore). Very nice place to live and most houses are 1 story single family homes or condos. We have a mix of both gated and non-gated communities. Also, about 25% less expensive to live than most other Florida communities. If interested respond to this or call at 386-445-6555. Would love to talk to you and provide any other information you would like.
