Lunatics and the unintelligent enjoy sunshine and warm weather as much as anyone else. Dealing with the abundance of both is just part of living here, as I've come to realize. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try to combat the problems that we're actually able to combat, of course, but that line is where the resident apologists begin to declare 'paradise' and tell everyone else to move. There's just no happy medium anymore I guess. Quite unfortunate.

Of course looney's appreciate the same things that mostly sane people do. Its also a matter of the odds.
If you have 20 million people the odds are certainly higher that there will be more loons than a place where you have 10 million people.

Lol you're way off. I hate the northeast, pacific northwest, cali, places like that and I never go to them. And I never check the news in those places cus I couldn't care less about what goes on there I go to Florida all the time cus I love it and would like to live there but all the crazyness I see either in the news or on video makes me think twice sometimes...Maybe it's better in the panhandle/baldwin county alabama area that's what I'm thinking.

But what we're finding is that it seems disproportionate. I was born n raised in FL, proud FL cracker, but we do get a larger share of lunatics. They seem to be drawn to FL.

It may seem that way. I think it just the fact that the influx of people has been so large over the years that the odds that some are not going to be all that sane flow with them are pretty good.

Also consider our society continues to get loonier every day, everywhere.

Just saw a story out of SW FL where, if I read it correctly, someone beheaded a bunch of cats.
