Ohh geez, what Floridians are we talking about? You always seem to blame the real Floridians not the transplants. So which Floridians are you talking about now?

Some of these news headlines weren't that deep, bro. Like, chill out.

FL is an average state to live. My life in FL was completely unaffected by any of these crimes. In fact, I haven't even heard of one of them even happeneing.

Ok, we admit it. We commit these crimes to scare people off. Our roads and restaurants are already crowded enough from our Winter visitors as it is.............anything to keep some of you home is worth a try.

You got that right, especially since I prefer California pizza--not that greasy, slimy New York-style cardboard. Ick.

Of course not! Either is dominos, pizza hut, et al. If NY pizza is greasy and slimy, it is due to the fact that the cheese being used is commercial "pizza cheese" and not real mozzarella. Cardboard? That is what the pizza chains look like and taste like. To each his own, but that stuff they are eating is not pizza by a long shot

If I had to guess, the two of you two are transplanted New Yorkers by the way of Jersey, working-class, and have never even been to California.

You wouldn't even know what a California pizza is if one fell on top of you.

Please, spare me.

I like NY style pizza as IMO its what pizza is all about a simple working class food consisting of bread, tomato sauce and cheese and maybe a little pepperoni. If you dont like NY style pizza maybe you just aint going to the right places.
IMO the California pizza is just way too busy with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in.

Kinda like having a hamburger made with walrus blubber instead of a hamburger patty, or the auto equivalent =

For someone who is so sure that they know everything, you really dont know much.

First off, "California pizza" didnt come to be until the 1980's. It is the same toasted thin bread with toppings on it that Pizza Hut had been selling for years before that. It is a single serving pizza. It is topped with anything they can find in the kitchen; bacon, pineapple, squash, whatever. It is crunchy like a cracker. You could throw a bowl of salad on top of a cracker that has been wiped with tomato sauce and call it "California Pizza". It is a kin to a small frisbee or a paper plate. You can buy "california pizza" in thefrozen foods section of a supermarket. Its a commercialized knock off. It should not be called Pizza.

NY pizza is 16-18" in diameter. It is cut into 8 slices. Each slice is foldable. NY pizza goes back to the early 1900's, just at the turn of the century. It is of Neapolitan origin. NY pizza is made with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Toppings, if any, would be mushroom, pepperoni, meatballs, anchovies, ham, not much else. The dough is totally different than its variations elsewhere. The dough is hand tossed. On top of a NY pizza a person would season to taste with oregano, grated Parmesan cheese, dried red chili pepper, or garlic.

Been to California. Several times unfortunately. As far as point of origin, I was born in the Bronx and grew up in Brooklyn. Of course working class. My family is Italian.

Go ahead, eat what you THINK is pizza... I am going to the pizzeria.

What is it about you that makes me think you are in Colorado?
