How incredibly boring. But your post is very vague. I have no idea what you mean by "comfortable." Do you mean you're embarrassed with other socks? Or that your feet hurt? Or what? And do you imagine that white cotton and black nylon are the only choices?
I give men's socks as gifts. Gorgeous ones: classic argyles, subtle pinstripes, bold abstract patterns. And the men all seem to love them. If you're too timid to be stylish, at least go try some gray and beige.
And, no, I know of no one who stubbornly sticks to white. I think of white as high-school socks.
