Ladies, do you prefer cargo shorts or regular khaki shorts on men?

To me "flat front" style of shorts that seem to be promoted as "in style" look really girly and metro-sexual. I'm just plain not going to wear shorts that have no pockets at all. Don't want to look preppy, or hipster.

Real men don't wear shorts that have shopping bags sewn onto the legs. Know why? You can get hurt doing that.
I was listening to a radio show last year where the host claimed that cargo shorts are "out of style". A few of my female friends confirmed this and said that guys look better in the regular khaki shorts/flat front/Chino shorts (without the extra pockets)...something like this:
I had the same discussion with a male friend who said the khaki shorts are nerdy looking and prefers cargos.
What do you prefer?
I feel like the flat-front pants are more for the yuppie/preppy type. I don't personally like them all that much. Cargo pants/shorts seem to be worn by the guys who are more active and laid-back. I know that sounds contradictory. Lol. I guess I mean to say that cargos relay a more down-to-earth kind of guy to me.
Cargo shorts, especially rumply, baggy cargo shorts, are a lady-boner killer for me.
Amen to that^^^!!! Frankly, it's the rare guy that I like to see wearing any kind of shorts unless they are working out or at the beach. Much rather see casual slacks/jeans. My husband feels the same, he hates wearing shorts unless working in the yard!
