The most I've spent on a handbag is $200. My average handbag is $30.
My more expensive bags are leather, which I intend to keep for a while. My everyday bags are cheaper and I rotate/replace with the changing of the seasons. I care more about the function and style of the handbag as well as how it'll compliment my wardrobe as opposed to how much it costs.
A few years ago we would purchase two bags a year for her. One for her birthday and one for Christmas.
Christmas two years ago I received a bonus at work and spent it on a 3000.00 edition.
She is now up to ten.
She also likes vintage Gucci and has approx eight of varying sizes and styles.
I love my wife, she deserves everything I can give her and then some.

I think the purse I have right now cost me around 25 bucks. It is holding up just fine and I have had it for 2 years. It gets tossed and thrown around my Jeep, onto the kitchen floor, etc etc.
I hate carrying a purse and the only reason I do is I need some place for my wallet and things. It is not a large purse by any means, and it suits me just fine.
I would not spend over 50 on a purse. I just don't see the need.
If anyone wants to spend $$$$$$ on a bag, so be it! It's their money. But I have to ask, is that the best thing that they can find to do with that much money?
Good lord, I'm shocked that women would pay this kind of money for a handbag....
I would NEVER pay $1000 for a handbag....
