Regular flip flops I guess if they are going to the beach or painting something.

Feet must be very well groomed. I just do not like sandals on men. It's creepy.

On women? When their feet are well groomed. Same. But I have never gotten the whole idea of sandals on men.
Agreed!

I must have been completely out of touch with all the rules/requirements regarding men & sandals or flip flops! My husband wears both, in nearly all the scenarios mentioned in this thread, and I think he looks fab

You can wear whatever you're comfortable with. I prefer sandals with shorts when I'm going to be anywhere further than my own back yard. I also prefer sandals at wap around behind the ankle. Easier to drive when your footwear isn't sliding off your foot.

I don't pay attention to what women or men wear on their feet. To each their own..and whatever is comfortable.

The whole "shoe" thing is a dang women thing. I don't get it. And personally I think gals look odd wearing spiked heels and clomping and tip-toeing around.

Personally, I don't wear flip flops or anything open toed in public. Save those for the ladies.

I wear an open sandal in the summer that's has a closed/covered toe front with air pockets so your feet can breath. Kinda like a boating shoe.

I'm always thinking practical, and I've never seen good things happen to a guy in flip flops on the first sign of public trouble. I've seen more guys in flip flops and open toed sandals get their a$$es handed to them because they have no footing.

Ever see a guy run in flip flops? It's laughable.

Males' feet tend to be ugly and we usually don't take care of them as women do, flip flop are too lazy for men.

Get up and do the fatigue to dress a sandal please.
