Hello,

I have a Six year old Golden Retriever and she was dianosed with Kidney's Diasease few days ago. She came home from the hosptial today for first time. She was on IV for 24 hours and now she looks so much better. The doctor gave her Azodyl to take for a month. I was hoping this Azodyl will help her. I am worried sick to my stomache how long she will live. She only six years old and I don't want her kidney's get worse. Hopefully Azodyl will help her Kidney's to funchtion again. My Golden Retiever Maggie is going back to the doctor for another blood test in November. I hope it goes will with her. I pray to God it will come back to normal! :0) Does anyone know how long they live for with kidney's diasease? I don't know if Maggie is going to be on Azodyl for rest of her life. I will find out in November if she going to.

My Lab/ Mastiff has been on Axodyl for about three weeks. He's been facing Chronic Ear infections which I truly believe is the result of the KD/Dog Food from Science Diet. Prior to that Dog food there was never a sign of any Ear Problems. Ear flushes daily, 3000MG daily of antibiotics and it still is not cleared up for over a month. I've switched his dry food to Blue Mountain Lower Protein Life Protection formula that he's loving to eat at this point. The KD Dog Food has done absolutlely nothing to improve his Kidney problems.

Hello our Bichon is 10 and diagnosed with end stage KD. She has been on Azodyl now for two days plus fluids and she us already feeling and acting some better. I've had a really hard time getting the capsules down her without her bringing them up or throwing them up so I mixed it in her food this morning. Yesterday I mixed her two in a teaspoon of food and waited an hour before feeding her her breakfast. I think it will be too diluted to help her very much today since I mixed it in her bowl of food. . She us however eating very well and feeling better. I've tried the Azodyl on cream cheese and other things she won't eat it that way. Also she will NOT take the pill treats. She actually slams them to the floor. So she is giving me no option but to open the capsules to get them down her. Is it OK to do that?

Thank you for this. I did the same thing last night. Can't get a hold of anyone today as it is Sunday. You relieved my fears. Thanks again.
