CoCo got spayed last monday and today was the 10th day so stitches were removed. She is fine but I think we have a problem. When the stitches came out boy did she cry (not the problem she is a drama Queen). On the way home she got sick and thank goodness Hubby made me put a towell on me before we left. This is the 2nd time she has done this. She use to just drool.1st time when we took her home from the breeders and then everytime we would comeback from the vets that being around 4 times since she has to go there also for shots.' I do not know if it is nerves or she gets carsick? Going she is fine. When at home she is a laid back dog. Any suggestions.

Drooling can be a sign of car sickness or anxiety. I had a foster dog last year and he drooled the first two days he was with us. After those two days, he was fine for the next month until the day he went to his new family and the drooling started over again. Fortunately, the adoptive family said it stopped once he settled in and became comfortable.

Hopefully, that's all it is with your pet and as she feels easier with the vet, it will stop.

Dont feed the dog for several hours if its going to be in a car.
Our vet prescribed pills for Dakota when he was younger to settle him down. He had terrible car sickness. He has totally outgrown it now though.

Wont go into huge detail.
First time I had him in the car for a short trip to the lake I noticed a horrid smell. Then he walks over and throws up all over my center console and that made me feel ill. Long story short I had to pull over several times on the way home cause of me throwing up cause he threw up. Funny now but man I will never forget that smell!

Jazz will get sick if she sits in the front seat of a car, in the back seat she is fine. She will always get in the back seat if it is a sedan type car and if you ask her to come up to the front seat she gives you this I am going to be sick look. She reminds me of Driving Miss Daisey the way she sits in the back seat. I now have an Subaru Outback so they ride in the way back which is fine with Jazz but not Dash as he wants the front seat!
