My guess is Blue Heeler, and Australian Shepherd maybe with some Jack Russell thrown in, but you really should have DNA testing if you want to know for sure. She looks a lot like this photo:
I don't know if they will do a DNA test, but I think they will look into it. She's doing great in her new home and getting to know her new family. I had a Jack Russell before and I can see that possibility as well.
My son works from home and his wife is a SAHM so Stella (pup) will have lots of attention throughout the day.
Cute dog but I'd say do a DNA test as others recommend. This little cutie, Cameo (a/k/a Cami) came back 34% Chihuahua, 10% American Pit Bull Terrier, 8% Chow Chow, 7% Segugio Italiano, 6% Rottweiler - we'd guessed some sort of hound, She is 1000% love, never met a stranger, and is the calmest dog I've ever known but won't let the other dogs get away with stealing her cookies
Cross between a working line Australian shepherd and a Blue Heeler. Maybe some Kelpie in there, but mostly the pup looks like working line Australian shepherd.
The Aussie Heeler cross is fairly common. Not deliberately done, but a common oops breeding in any sort of farming or cattle country.
Border, aussie or even heeler, depending what you can tell about the kind of coat she's going to have. And ears... looks like ears may stand up.
Yes definitely, and I also thought of a touch of Bernese Mountain Dog when I first looked at the photo. The paws look like they are going to be big or even huge. The white stripe up the forehead is also seen on Boxers, so there could be a touch of Boxer in there.

I have what I think is a healthy skepticism of these DNA results. Almost without exception, whenever people with mutts have published these results, they have come back with at least one and often multiple rare and highly obscure results.
There are no AKC registered breeders of Segugio Italianos in the country right now. Few people have probably ever seen one, outside of an AKC dog show where only one or two are likely to be present. It's pretty long odds to think one of them was out roaming any neighborhood USA looking for opportunistic love isn't it?
There's a lot of other more common dogs that your pup resembles, including many short-haired terriers like Jack Russels or Rat-hunting terriers or other small to mid-size short-haired hunting dogs, maybe mixed with some mutt "labrador mix" for size. With those ears, I don't see a lot of hound, but maybe.
I don't see Segugio Italiano, which is a large hound-type dog with long, low-set ears, or Chow, or Pit Bull or Rottweiler.
Do you see any reason for skepticism?

Reason: corrected post... initially looked up the wrong rare Italiano breed
