The first time their dog got loose was because the steel cable, outdoor leash, was chewed, so they bought a chain.
Last night, I just received another text warning me that their dog has gotten loose once again, but they did not say why. Two days ago, I was passing by their house and their dog saw me, and ripped their window screen wide open with it's teeth in one second, and tried to jump through the window to kill me.
Thankfully, it was a small window, and the dog could not fit through it. It is a large Siberian Husky. Every time anyone walks past their house, this dog throws its paws againest the windows and chews on the wood frames with it's teeth to try to get out to kill. Whenever anyone passes their house, and this dog is outside in their yard, everyone gets ferociously barked at.
They do however, keep the dog on it's chain even when it is in their yard, because they think it may eat through the wood fence, or dig under it, to get out to kill. I understand the dog law in my State which states that if a dog is known to be dangerous to life and limb, and the owner seems unable to restrain it, then it can be removed from the owner, or destroyed by a neighbor in self defense if the dog gets loose, and tries to harm anyone. This law seems fair to me. The dog owners are doing the best they can, but it isn't good enough if their dog has already gotten loose twice in the past month, and people passing by, may not have anything to protect themselves with, if this dog escapes again.
I hope this dog never gets loose, but it has already, twice. Folks, always go out with protection of some sort, because you never know. I am a dog lover, and I have had dogs all my life since I was a baby, also, I have seen many dogs in my life, but never met one as vicious as this Husky. (Rant over)
