Was hiking in the wilderness with our two beagles in NW Arkansas. Saw a puppy running by. Called out to him and he came. Brought him in to scan for a chip. None was found.

I put pictures of him around that area as well as on the internet. After a few weeks, still nothing. So, my husband and I decided to adopt him. First thing we did was chip him.

He has brought us much joy in the last year. He is now totally bonded to us. We don't even have a leash on him anymore when we go out. He follows us around. And he is amazingly obedient. When I found him, he weighed 40 pounds. He has grown to about 120 lb in the past year.

Here are some pictures back when I first found him.

How wonderful that you were both in the woods at the same time and found each other. He’s a handsome guy!
