We've been wondering for the past year.

He was definitely someone else's pet before. He was completely potty trained when I found him.

Where I found him, there was nothing but trees. Not a single person for miles. He would be a good dog. But as soon as he realized we were going anywhere, he would pull back, cry, yelp, did everything he could to avoid getting into the car. We had to carry him in there. Once in, he would panic.

So, my husband theorized that someone dropped him off in the woods and drove off. Took us months of consistently taking him to the dog park to get him to stop panicking going into the car.

Nowadays, without a leash he just jumps right in with us.
