Every time I visit San Diego (about twice a year), we have to make a stop or two at Dog Beach! The weather was kind of gloomy this visit, but we still had a great time... thought I'd share some pictures of Rudy, and other pups frolicking in the sand.

A gaggle of min-pins... Rudy was fascinated, until two of them started snapping at his face.

I'd hate to wash this dog later!

What a sweetie you have. Rudy looks so happy.

I have to say... I love the gaggle of MinPins, lol. They look like a hardcore gang, and I can imagine my Sheba right in the middle of them...lmao. BTW, those MinPins probably wouldn't have snapped at Rudy if they weren't all tethered together.

rudy is such a handsome boy .... LOVE the markings on his legs.......

i would just about sell my soul to have a good beach around here......

and yeah .... i noticed that about the min-pins too ..... i HATE when people keep their dog leashed in an off-leash area.... so not fair to the dog and makes them fearful of and snappy toward the other dogs who come up to say hi ......

Pure joy on their faces! If you ever get to Ft. Myers Beach, FL, not far from there is another dog beach, on Lover's Key. Another very fun place. 8)

Awesome pics! But you need to stop going to the ghetto that is OB!! Coronado Dog Beach is really not that much farther (10 minutes) and a world of difference, both dog owner and scenery wise! I can't believe the seaweed there, we didn't see any in Coronado yesterday. PC will show Rudy around!

Nice dogs! You're lucky to have a dog beach nearby. The beaches here are off-limits to dogs, except a few during the winter. And I'm too much of a wimp to go to the beach in the winter.

Awesome pictures! I am so jealous...the only dog beach we have close by requires you keep your dogs leashed and most weekends you can't even get to it because the park rangers close it off early morning due to all the weekenders flocking to those beaches and filling up all the parking lots =( I bet Sydney would love the beach but atleast we can take him on the boat and in the river
