The great Harry Connick Jr. just released a music video that was filmed at the historic Sterling Opera House in Derby. In it he sings the iconic hymn Amazing Grace. He is a New Canaan resident. Jay

Fairfield’s iconic Community Theater has been a fixture in the Center for 100 years. Sacred Heart University has restored the theater and will reopen March 18th. I’ve seen many movies there as a kid so it’s nice to see such an important part of Fairfield’s history continuing the tradition. Jay

Get this………

Someone went to a tag sale in New Haven and bought a pretty bowl for $35.

Apparently the bowl is 600 years old, it’s a uniquie 15th century Chinese Artifact!! Worth $300,000-500,000.

Only 7 of them exist in this world.

It’s going up for auction at Sotheby’s

Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain were on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield on Monday filming a movie for Netflix. It sounds like it created a traffic problem. I can’t wait to see them n my old stomping grounds. Jay

Connecticut is a pretty scenic state. For a small largely urban state there are many scenic drives. This one made a list of the Top 50 in the country. I’ve been in most of it and it is beautiful. Anyone have others to suggest? Jay

The drive up 7 to the Ski area is amazing. It really is. There's that one part you go through the New Milford or New Fairfield center, not sure which one, with the hills backdrop that just takes your breath away, and then a little later going through and past the Litchfield center. It's pure New England right out of central casting. A far cry from GreenwichNew Haven, Tri-State.
