LOL! I occasionally see a van down along Refugee Road decked out in Jeff Gordon colors. Flames, number, every decal on his car.

Haha, depends on your definition of scary. The hilltop and the bottoms are filled with angry drug dealers, depending where you are on Broad st, there are hookers, and then Powell and Dublin have ******* cops and snotty children...but it's technically safer...and there's the stretch in between the short north and campus that is really shady...I lived on campus, in the short north, out on the Eastside (I'm NOT a fan of Whitehall) and in the Powell area, and I will be moving to the Bethel/Sawmill area. I like the people in the Sawmill/Bethel area, they're pretty nice. But the Short North area was by far the best. Chill neighbors, awesome coffee shops, what more could one ask for?

Yeah, the Short North is a great area. Most of Columbus sort of has that mediocre feel to it. Most neighborhoods aren't super dangerous, but most outside of NW Columbus aren't super safe either. A few (Hilltop, parts of the east, The Bottoms, a few other areas) are dangerous, but what city doesn't have that. Overall Columbus is VERY safe compared to the other big cities in Ohio.

Personally however, Dublin, Hilliard and Powell scare me the most. The cops there, as mentioned above, are some of the biggest jerks ever. Got pulled over for goin' 40 in a a 35 once. Full of snotty people, these areas just aren't very friendly.

Whitehall REALLY sucks. I keep seeing things on the news where kids are getting shot and it's right around this area. Same with theft, etc. And I see more racism/prejudice out here, from all sides sides. I love everyone, and I'm a pretty friendly, talking to everyone kind of person, and I've been called some names out here by people at the kroger near where I live in Whitehall, and I was just trying to get some help finding certain kinds of food, I don't get it. But I've also heard ignorant ghetto-wannabe white kids screaming crap across the streets at somalian people...it's retarded. I can't wait to move.

I really like Whitehall. I guess to each his own. Some places some people hate others love. I like Whitehall because it's a working man's neighborhood. I feel very comfortable here. Mama I'm so sorry it isn't working out for you. Yes I've met some nasty people but you can find that anywhere. I love the bumper sticker MEAN PEOPLE SUCK. I want one. Wherever you make your home I hope it's a good place for you. I'm saying this in general not just to one person.

Your geography is too limited. I'd expand the area that should be bulldozed to 212 sq miles
