Hello! My fiance and I are a young couple moving to Columbia for the first time this summer for our new jobs. We did not get to see as many apartments as we had liked when we came to town to apartment hunt. We feel lost and uneasy about making a decision on where to live since we do not know too much. I will be working downtown and my fiance will be working in the Northeastern part of Columbia.
The one apartment complex we liked out of all that we looked at was located off of Evelyn Drive in St. Andrews (thoughts on this area?)
We are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment, roughly around $700/month, in a SAFE community (our top priority)
Any help would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated!!! Thank you in advance!!
St. Andrews is an inner-ring suburb that has seen better days. Do you know in which county the apartment is located? Commuting to the northeast might be a bit of a hassle as well, although the intersection of Broad River and I-20 isn't quite as bad as Malfunction Junction. Your budget seems a bit tight; where else have you looked?
