My Husband and I are relocating to Columbia and we are looking for a safe clean apartment to rent. He will be working in Camden, SC so we want to be on the Northeast side of Columbia. We are hoping to pay somewhere between 500-700 dollars. What are the safe neighborhoods in Northeast Columbia and what are safe, nice apartments/apartment complexes. Please be specific. Thanks..

The Keswick is one of the nicest complexes in Columbia. It would be a great location for you right off of I-20 at the Clemson Rd. exit in NE Columbia, so your husband could just hop on the interstate and zip right to Camden. Not sure of the current prices though--the 2008 ed. of Apartment Finder I have has a 1BR/1BA at $695. It's on the higher end of apt. complexes in the area but is really highly recommended.
