I'm starting this thread because I searched for a Columbia photos thread and didn't find one. Does anyone know how to re-size a photo? I'm trying to upload a jpeg that is too big for citydata. It needs to be re-sized manually and I can't figure out how to do that. Thanks.

If you save the image to Photobucket it will allow you to re-size the photo before linking to it. There is also a way to do it in Paint but I'm too lazy to go figure it out right now.
My favorite view of Columbia is from 126, heading into the city, just after the Graystone on-ramp merges, when the taller buildings are all clustered together and framed in by the trees.

seems back a couple yrs ago while we were browsing this site when relocating here, Matt used to have threads with Cola pix on them. Actually quite a few nice images were used, but I dont know if the threads were actually labeled as 'Columbia Pictures' or they were just inserted during regular conversations
There is also a nice vantage point from over on the top of Harden Street just beyond the State Hospital site. The highrises are more spread out from this vantage point from the Benedict dorm, over across USC to downtown, and "uptown" (the BOA tower on North Main-lol)...Its Columbia's Atlanta 'ish' version of our skyline showing all the various clusters.....lol
