Haven't heard anything in Mesa County, but the wind is really getting with the program. This does not bode well for the summer.

Winds have been calm today in Mesa County, but yesterday? Oy! And tomorrow's forecast is a red flag warning starting at noon and going through Sunday. Steady 25-30 m.p.h. winds.

Yuck-o.

And yet another Red Flag Fire Warning for much of western Colorado today (Saturday). Winds up to 40mph forecast. These high winds every single day are really getting old.

Brief lull in the winds, and a few showers last night and this day. But not enough.

We need much more rain than this. Time to go jinx myself and get the rains started: Wash the truck? Or water some plants? Oooooo, I know...paint something and set it out to dry!

A very welcome cool down is on tap for the western slope. Temps look like to be in the mid 70's this coming week. And I am liking that!

If only we could get some rain though. Last night Fox31 said eastern Colorado was going to see rain, hail, and thunderstorms for pretty much the week with temps around 65.

Early afternoon in Mesa County the wind was howling with some 45-50 m.p.h. gusts. DOUBLE UGH is right!
