An upcoming movie will once again draw attention to Cincinnati. It costars a Hollywood legend and a best actor, plus several other film celebrities. At this time, few specifics are known about "The Old Man and The Gun." It's unclear if the movie is a serious drama, comedy or a mix of both. Hopefully, it will be more than a geriatric Redford imitation of the recent bank robbery flick starring Chis Pine: "Hell or High Water." Also, let's hope it's something different from that straight-to-DVD bank robbery violence filmed in Cincinnati which starred Bruce Willis: "The Marauders."

they might shoot a scene of the casey affleck film at my house. a location scout took some photos of the inside and the front porch. our house doesn't quite fit the 80's motif they are looking for, but we shall see. our house is huge casey affleck fans. don't really care about robert redford. just because you brought it up and therefore it's on topic, i really want to see hell or high water. have heard good things

These movies they've been doing are also typically awful. None of these sound like they are going to be the next rain man.

Have you seen any Bollywood movies? They are full of energy and have charming stars, but geez, the scripts and plots are mindless drivel.

They're going to shoot a bank robbery scene of the Redford film in an old downtown Dayton building. I hate Casey Affleck but might watch if it follows a theme like The Sting or Color of Money type of aging-hustler story.

“For the second time in three years, a Cincinnati-made film is making its debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival,” Schlotman said in a statement. “Like ‘Carol’ two years ago, ‘The Killing of a Sacred Deer’ shows that Greater Cincinnati is the home to world-class cinema. We’re going to Cannes to bring in even more top producers to the area.”
