Does it help that Scripps has offices here to have so many reality TV stops here?

I'm interested to see what happens with Tom + Chee. Have only been to the Newport location. Once. My impression was that the owners have taken a brilliantly simple concept which should be fail-proof to execute and wildly successful--and screwed it up with bad execution. The shop looked beat up and not very clean, the soup was cold, and whatever faux oily substance they used to grill the sandwiches tasted horrible. How expensive would it be to at least use cheap margerine?

Not a fan.

Ditto, they seem to spend there time self promoting versus learning how to cook and clean.

You are missing a couple of other shows that always seem to feature Cincinnati:

Campus PD
Cops

It is a lot easier to OPEN a restaurant and get it going than to put in the LONG, HARD hours of actually running one. Many of these highly taunted restaurants are opened by promoters than by experienced operators.
