Heh, the Reds have been in Cincinnati for 130 years and have no sign of moving anywhere any time soon. Name a sports team in the United States that can say that.

I do agree that Cincinnati probably won't see another professional sports team come to the city, but who cares? We have football and baseball covered. If we want to watch basketball, we'll watch our two college teams who both seem to be contenders lately. Besides, who wants to watch the NBA? If we want hockey, we'll watch the Cyclones who like to win the Kelly Cup.
I never said that Cincy didn't have an arena. You see Nationwide Arena is a state-of-the-art, 21st century arena, which is what pro teams (NBA & NHL) look for. What Cincinnati has is an old, rundown college arena that probably should be burned down!!!

Actually, on the whole, Ohio sports fans in general are fairly bad when it comes to supporting pro teams. Here are the attendance rankings for Ohio's sports teams:

Reds - 16 out of 30 (2011 season)
Indians - 24 out of 30 (2011 season)
Bengals - 32 out of 32 (2011 season)
Browns - 18 out of 32 (2011 season)
Cavs - 19 out of 30 (2011-2012 season)
Blue Jackets - 27 out of 30 (2011-2012 season)

Of course, who can blame us when you consider the on the field results. Seriously, what did we do to deserve such mediocrity?

I blame Frank Lane and Art Modell.

The Bengals had a seven-year streak of consecutive sellouts that was only snapped two years ago when fans finally tired of the rampant losing. It would be a stretch to say that Cincinnati doesn't support that team. We've gone above and beyond. Now we're waiting for a reason to go back.

And we will.

The Browns were sold out before the 2011 season began. None of their games were blacked out. Now how many fans actually showed up on gameday is another story. But Randy Lerner doesn't care about that because all of the tickets were sold. Remember, the Browns have been sold out since 1999. None of their games since have been blacked out.
