You want to drive 200+mph with no license and no insurance on public roads?. maximum fine would be death either by a cop shooting you or you losing control of the car., if you survived and were aprehended your car would be impounded for at least a month, you would be in county jail for a while and depending on where you are fines could top $10K your license would be suspended for at least 6 months, a second offence would bring harsher penalties.
Taking it to the treack would be a much safer venture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xcMe2kI73Q
Also, if we up the speed to 190-205mph - and it's late it night, do you think there would be cops on the interstate, and do you think they'd attempt and stop it, or just wait for the crash?
Apparently you have never driven a fast car that may even get close to approaching those speed. Go to the track and try to drive to get even close to those speed. You need lots of power with straight roads.
Cops aren't going to chase you with at high speed. They use the eyes up in the sky.

Yeah... unless one is on a straight away... it gets pretty down right scary when you pass 120mph. At least for me.

Lots of people don't understand a lot of aerodynamic and horespower goes into play when you are talking about those speed. The speedometer beyond 140mph doesn't climb like they are between 30-80mph. Takes lots of power and correct aerodynamic, tires, brakes.. Yes.. there are cars that can go that fast safely but not in public roads.
I can understand the need of having a lawyer already retained - however, I don't think it's possible to inform all counties/towns between NYC and DC, that's 220 miles of road.
I have no idea what a "gumball rally" is. But I get the idea of having runners. In honesty, $50,000 to evade getting caught by cops would be a great deal, especially considering how much the cars would be worth if seized and resold.
So we're looking at no more than $100,000 in fines if things go belly up, but how much jail time do you think you'd get for something like this? more than 30 days? Do you think it would go to trial, if you could cut a large fine deal with the DA?
And that $100k in fines doesn't include the cost of whatever car you are thinking of using. They'll confiscate it, and you'll probably never get it back. If someone ends up getting killed by you, you'll probably spend several years in jail, though if you read the above link, that guy driving the 911 turbo that ended up killing that couple he hit got 2 years of probation. I'm sure that cost a LOT of money to pull that off.
